These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Wild Spaniel Films to any of our clients. By commissioning our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. We’ve tried to make them as simple as possible – any questions, shoot a message to hello@wildspanielilms.com

1. Use of This Website

1,1 You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • use the site in a way that is harmful, disruptive, or misleading

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems

  • copy, extract, or misuse content without permission

  • interfere with the site’s security or performance

1.2 We may update or change the website at any time without notice.

2. Scope of Services

2.1 We provide services based on an agreed brief, proposal, or written confirmation. This may include:

  • script reading and development notes

  • pitch document review

  • creative consultancy

  • filming and production services

  • editing and post‑production

  • project development support

2.2 Work is undertaken according to the agreed scope. Any additional work, revisions, or changes outside the original brief will be quoted separately and carried out only with written approval.

3. Fees, Quotes & Payment Terms

Quotes

3.1 Quotes are based on the information provided at the time. Any changes to the brief, schedule, or deliverables may require a revised quote.

3.2 Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

Payment

3.3 Payment is due within thirty (30) days of the invoice date unless otherwise specified in writing.
3.4 Late payments may incur interest and/or suspension of ongoing services at Wild Spaniel Film’s discretion.

4. Client Responsibilities

4.1 To deliver work effectively, clients must:

  • provide timely access to scripts, documents, assets, or materials

  • ensure they have the rights to any materials they supply

  • provide feedback and approvals within agreed timeframes

  • communicate changes clearly and promptly

4.2 We are not responsible for delays caused by late client feedback or missing materials..

5. Script Submissions & Development Materials

5.1 If you submit scripts, pitch documents or other creative materials for reading or development:

  • you retain ownership of your work

  • submission does not guarantee development, production, or representation

  • we may already be developing similar ideas independently

  • we will not use your work without permission

  • we may keep internal notes or records relating to submissions

This protects both you and us.

6. Filming, Contributors & On‑Camera Participation

6.1 If you appear in filmed or recorded content:

  • we will only use your likeness or contribution with your consent

  • consent may be given through release forms, email confirmation, or recorded verbal agreement

  • you may withdraw consent unless the material has already been published or forms part of a completed project

  • contributor information may be kept as part of production records

7. Intellectual Property

Work we create

7.1 Unless agreed otherwise:

  • ownership of creative work created by Wild Spaniel (including edits, filmed material, development notes, and documents) remains with Wild Spaniel Films until full payment is received

  • once paid, the client receives a licence to use the final agreed deliverables for the purpose outlined in the project

7.2 We may display completed work in our portfolio unless a confidentiality agreement is in place.

Client materials

7.3 Clients must ensure they have the rights to any materials they provide. We accept no liability for third‑party copyright infringements arising from client‑supplied content

8. Revisions, Changes & Approvals

8.1 Revisions are included only as specified in the agreed scope. Additional revisions or changes may incur extra fees.

8.2 Approval of deliverables (including cuts, documents, or edits) is considered final. Further changes after approval may be charged separately.

8.3 Delays in client approvals may affect delivery timelines.

9. Timing, Delays & Dependencies

9.1 We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed timelines. However:

  • timelines depend on timely client feedback

  • delays caused by clients may result in revised delivery dates

  • external factors (e.g., weather, location access, third‑party availability) may affect filming schedules

9.2 We will communicate any changes promptly.

10. Confidentiality

10.1 We will treat client materials and discussions as confidential unless:

  • disclosure is required by law

  • the information is already public

  • the client gives written permission

10.2 Clients must also respect the confidentiality of our internal processes, documents, and development notes.

11. Liability

11.1 To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss

  • we are not responsible for delays caused by clients or third parties

  • we do not guarantee specific creative outcomes or results

  • our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant project

11.2 This does not affect your statutory rights.

12. Termination & Project Pauses

12.1 Either party may end a project with reasonable written notice. If a project ends early:

  • work completed up to the termination date will be invoiced

  • deposits or upfront fees are non‑refundable unless agreed otherwise

  • we may charge for any committed costs or booked resources

12.2 We may pause or end a project if invoices remain unpaid.

13. Data Protection

13.1 We process personal data in line with UK GDPR. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

14. Governing Law

14.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to These Terms

15.1 We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
